Marc Harris

Since 2003, Marc harris has played no less than 125 shows a year. His music career has been called “Southern Surf” – rock n’ roll affected by 60’s country and surf guitar – a little tiki, a little twang. Harris performs constantly along the Gulf Coast, around the Southeast, and occasionally beyond, introducing people to his unique sound.

Marc’s second CD, ‘Slow Down You’re Here’ comes out in the spring of 2009. The title track serves as a theme song for 30aguide.com. The motif of the song comes from an old sign that stood in Grayton Beach near the speed bumps that simply suggested – Slow Down You’re Here – a slogan that fits the mood of many once they arrive in South Walton County and well describes Marc’s style.

Harris recently placed a song on “Sunset Tan” (E!TV Sundays 10:30pm/9:30pm central) and had the opportunity to perform his song with the cast in an episode shot outside of Nashville. This episode aired for the 1st time August 31st on E! and re-runs throughout the fall of 2008.

Marc’s voice and guitar echo his experience working with established artists. Harris grew up in Nashville and in the 90’s and worked as a side man to the stars playing venues from Foxboro Stadium to the Fillmore West. He also performed live on national TV and was a focal part in Shania Twain’s hit music video ‘No One Needs to Know’ from the movie ‘Twister.’
