What’s up?! This is Donald Reeder better known as “Scooter” giving you the low down on the nightlife along 30A. I work at Beach to Bay Realty in Grayton Beach next to the Hibiscus Coffee & Guest House during the day and at night I enjoy a cold beer and some great music.
This is going to be a great summer! I’m every excited about all the new places coming in the area. On 30A we have the new Salty Dog Saloon next to Café Tango. You know that’s going to be a killer place for music and some great late night munchies. They will be opening in first of June. Then you have a couple of new places a pizza joint next to Blue Orleans and something going in the old Nick’s. Can’t wait to find out the news on these places. Now moving down to the East end of 30A we have the new 30A Chops a great place to start your night. Up on Hwy 98 you have Jambone, a Hard Wood Joint serving BBQ. You must have the wings best in South Walton. They will be bringing in music from out of town couple times a month. Look for Rollin in the Hay July 4th weekend always a fun band from Birmingham and you got Balls Out Sport Bar moving to the old Sea Bar on Hwy 331.
Now lets not forget about what we have Stinky’s Fish Camp one of my favorites. The Red Bar in Grayton, love listing to some Dread Clampitt on Sundays. Bud & Alleys great place for a sunset and a drink. Old Florida Fish House a place for great sushi. Fonville Press in Alys Beach always changing things up and the last stop Shades on the Loop in Inlet Beach.
Last week after a catering event Courtney, Justin, Chef Todd and I went to Seerings Piano Bar in Blue Mountain Beach. Loved the Icetinis. My favorite was the Blue Mountain Breeze. Really cool drinks with cone shaped ice cubes that sit in a glass. There are only two places in the United States have this machine, and the other place is out in California. I enjoyed David playing the piano, it was a nice change in our night.
